New Year and Back to Classes, Oh My!

Sarah B, Me, and Rhona B getting ready for 2012!
Happy New Year, and welcome to 2012! I had by far the best New Years this year, mainly because I celebrated it in my favorite place, MERCYHURST! Fellow bloggers Rhona B. and Sarah B. and I had a wonderful New Years bash in my apartment. We all cooked amazing food and of course we made too much, which seems to be a reoccurring theme with my group of friends. Before we knew it, 2012 was almost upon us, and boy were we excited! We had our glasses on and hats and poppers at the ready to explode at midnight. This was especially exciting for Rhona B. who has actually not seen the ball drop in Times Square. I'm glad that Sarah B. and I helped to cross that off her bucket list! 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. HAPPY NEW YEAR! ( I know I don't really give it justice, but in my mind this is exactly how it went).
2011 was my happiest year. That is the only way to describe it. I traveled to 10 different countries, I continued to grow the amazing friendships I have made at Mercyhurst, and I have had some of the best opportunities of my life. I can only hope that 2012 will be equally amazing!

Happy 2012 Everyone!
I do have some resolutions for 2012, but they aren't really too exciting. I want to continue to be an active member in the Mercyhurst community, in whatever way that will be. I want to find and participate in a very good internship this summer. I hope to keep my great friendships up and make them even better. I want to give up my favorite drink, Diet Mt. Dew. Those are just some of them, there are more, but they are more personal ones :)

Yay, internship interview!
We are now back to classes at Mercyhurst, and this is by far one of the hardest transitions of the school year. I don't often not like going back to MercyWorld, but this mid winter break is sometimes quite difficult. I had two midterms yesterday back to back, and I did feel a little rusty coming off of Christmas break. Classes are halfway over and this means time to start thinking about next term classes. I do have two pieces of very exciting news though to get me through the rest of winter term. The first is that I have an interview for an internship this summer with a PR firm in Philadelphia! I am so very excited and nervous for my interview, but I really hope I get it. My interview is on Monday at 10:00 am and I'm really nervous! I'm prepared, now I just have to give it my best shot, stay tuned to see whether or not I get the internship (I hope its a yes haha).

Spring Break 2012!
The second exciting piece of news is that 8 of my friends and I are flying to Panama City, Fl., for Spring Break 2012! We are staying right on the beach and are all very excited for lots of activities we have planned. We have already started making a list of different things we want to do and places we want to go while in Florida. Several of us have snorkeling gear and are really excited to explore the ship wrecks near the area. I cannot wait until we arrive in Panama City Florida on February 23 at noon! I'm sure there will be a ton of pictures from the trip, and I will make sure to do a Spring Break 2012 posting!

As you can imagine, there is a lot going on in the wonderful world of Jeremy, but no matter how busy I get, there is one thing I remember to do, and that's carpe diem! Each day we are faced with crazy challenging things that may make us stress, but if you remember to take each day a little bit at a time, it will be much manageable. Carpe Diem!
~Jeremy
