Why did I choose Mercyhurst?

The Main Gates |
---So I have a funny story about how I chose Mercyhurst as my place of higher education. I actually had no intentions of even looking at Mercyhurst, but my grandparents told me what a wonderful school it was, and how I really needed to look into it. I persisted (as the stubborn teenager I was) and refused to schedule a visit. One day my grandma suggested we take a trip to Presque Isle (the beach near Erie). I agreed because I really wanted to go to the beach. So I put on my bathing suit and got my towel and jumped into the car excited for the beach. About an hour later, we pulled through the gates of Mercyhurst, and I was very confused! I asked my grandparents where we were going to which they responded "your future college". I was so angry that they tricked me into taking a tour of Mercyhurst, but half way through I knew this really was "the place" for me, and I have been hooked ever since!
