About MSG

Student Government Logo
Mercyhurst Student Government (MSG) is the elected body that represents all full-time traditional undergraduate students at Mercyhurst University. The organization consists of a 6 member Executive Board, a 22 member Senate (3 from each class, 2 from each of the 5 Academic Schools), and 1 Advisor.

This body is the governing organization that represents all full-time undergraduate students of Mercyhurst University. We really are "your voice" when it comes to big picture issues that may affect students and the administration. The Mercyhurst Student Government is committed to preserve, protect and defend the mission of Mercyhurst University and equally the Constitution of the Mercyhurst Student Government; specifically in promoting the values of truth, individual integrity, human dignity, mercy, and justice, through the focus and representation of the undergraduate student body in academic, financial, social, cultural, and political affairs of the Mercyhurst Community.

My experience on MSG: I first got involved with the organization during my freshman year of college when I was elected to a Senator position. I knew from then on that being a member of MSG was something that I wanted to continue every year. Sophomore year, I was again elected to a Senator position, and I continued to devote a lot of time and effort to the organization. Happily, this year I am the Public Relations Coordinator of MSG, and I am in charge of doing all of the PR for our organization and the events we plan. I am also in charge of running the MSG website, msg.mercyhurst.edu. I really do love my job so much, and I love being a part of an amazing organization that is set-up for the students! We will have to see what happens later this year, and I will keep you all up-to-date with any ambitions I may have. Who knows, maybe I will have something even more exciting in the spring to report. We shall see!
